Most sheds under 160 Square feet or 15 square metre exterior dimension will not require a permit under Ontario Building code, but that may vary depending on your municipality’s bylaws. If there is need for plumbing then a permit is required, likewise certain foundations may require a permit or engineer’s stamp depending on the size of the building. Talk to your coach and let them know if a permit is required and they will advise you on your options and give you a referral to an engineer who can create the plans required for city approval.
